OpenOffice.org Draw is a program that is often underestimated. Sure it is a bit low on the features side, but I have create many (albeit mediocre due to my lack of creativity and experience in the area) different things using Draw, including greeting cards, though I'm assuming you've guessed this, calendars, and graphic organizers. It serves as a great way to make simplistic printing projects for the average home PC user.

Use a Dymo Labeler to Keep Track of Your Wires

Chances are, if you are on a desktop PC, the wires behind your desk are atrocious. It is a major pain to swap out a few cords or get a device loose. However, by using a Dymo labeler (or another brand if you please) you can easily find the cords you need and then quickly get them out when necessary. A lot less headache.

Better Bookmark Toolbar Placement with Firefox

In Firefox, the bookmark toolbar can be quite useful. Just in case you are not aware, the bookmark toolbar is the toolbar that by default (as of Firefox 2) is directly under the the navigation toolbar. Here you can drag and drop useful links and bookmarklets. However, it can quickly get in the way.
